Valley Gate Vineyards is a massive lodge style winery on the outskirts of Napa, with hand carved details, towering stone fireplaces, incredible views and one of the most unique dining rooms that overlooks the barrel room. The winery is currently closed as it goes through a small facelift but in just a few short months, the wine will be flowing again this summer, fall and winter! I'd say the highlight of the day was sitting on the back a quad 4 wheeler being carted through the pastures and hills so I could photograph a real live cattle drive, get closeups of the show cows and capture the sweeping hillsides; all part of the VGV story. Oh yea, and the free sips of wine were fun too!
